Founding Principal & Chief Design Officer
Christos A. Tessas was born in Athens. In 1994 he moved to Nancy, France for a year where he studied French literature and history at the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines in Université Nancy 2.
In the period 1995-2000 he studied architecture at the École Nationale Superieure d’Architecture Paris-Villemin in Paris, France and acquired his master’s degree in Architecture, in 2002, from the École Nationale Superieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais in cooperation with Université Paris 1, Panthéon Sorbonne majoring in Theory and History of Architecture.
In 2003 he obtained the Diplôme d’Architecte Diplômé par le Gouvernement (D.P.L.G.) title and was called to participate at the Programme for the Rejuvenation of Facades at the Municipality of Athens under the framework of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.
In 2005 he established his own architectural practice. He designed numerous projects, won two major architectural competitions in Greece and received the European Union Europa Nostra Award. His designs have been exhibited in Paris, New York, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Corfu and Athens.
Chris has a PhD in Architecture (2009-2017) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2018, he teaches at the Technical University of Crete, School of Architecture and in 2021 he was appointed Assistant Professor of architectural design.
Senior Managing Partner & Studio Director
Vicky Pantziou was born in Larisa. During the period 2012-2018 she attended the National Technical University of Athens, School of Architecture, where she graduated with distinction. Since 2018 she has been working on architecture and interior design, while at the same time has created set designs for theatre and cinema.
Senior Managing Partner & Building Permits Consultant
Maria Tzafeta was born in Thessaloniki. She studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated in 2006. In 2007 she received her Master’s degree with Distinction on Architecture & Environment (MSc) from the University of Portsmouth, UK, focusing on environmental design and sustainability.
She is a Certified Energy Inspector and she is highly experienced in Hellenic Codes and Regulations for Buildings. Maria has a wide knowledge of developing and organising construction documents, supervising building sites, and she has been working for many years as a construction project manager.
Associate Partner, Architect
Zoi Tzounidou attended Anatolia College Boarding School in 2003. She lived in Munich and Hamburg for five years and studied Architecture at the Technical Univerisity of Munich for a year.
During the period 2011-2017 she attended the National Technical University of Athens, School of Architecture, where she graduated with distinction and continued her studies in the postgraduate program “Research in Architecture: Architectural Design – Space – Culture”.
Associate Partner, Structural Engineering Director
Costis Hatzopoulos is a Dipl. Civil Engineer graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since the early days of his studies, he developed a strong interest for statics, dynamics and seismic design of structures.
In 2003, he worked as a graduate engineer for consulting firms and was actively involved in designing public infrastructure and private buildings. At 2007, he joined the 10th Byzantine Ephorate and was responsible for the renovation of byzantine structures mainly located in Mount Athos and Chalkidiki. There, he developed a strong interest in the preservation of monuments and the peculiarities of masonry materials.
He established his practice, based in Thessaloniki, in 2008. During these years he designed over 160 structures in Greece, UK, Turkey, Europe and the broader Middle East, and became familiar with international and local codes of practice. Moreover, he gained insight into the processes utilized by international design firms.
Simultaneously, driven by his strong interest in mathematics, differential geometry, numerical analysis, and programming, he was involved in the creation and support of engineering software through the activities of TechScience, which is now a London based firm. Currently, he is the Technical Manager of the, also London based, IDEA StatiCa UK office, actively promoting and developing the breakthrough software IDEA StatiCa. As part of this team, he was runner—up for the “Innovation of the year” in the 2019 NBA Awards among other prizes.
Associate Partner, Structural Engineering Consultant
Nefeli Sakellari is a graduate Dipl. Civil Engineer, located in Athens, where she was born. She studied structural engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Civil Engineering from where she graduated in 2017.
