This is a lecture by Telesilla Bristogianni and Faidra Oikonomopoulou, TU Delft researchers, for Chris’ spring semester course “Small scale architecture and object design” at the  Technical University of Crete, School of Architecture.

Mrs. Bristogianni and Mrs. Oikonomopoulou presented their work on research and construction of the MVRDV’s ‘Crystal Houses’ in Amsterdam, explaining the structural capacity of cast glass. Additionally, they focused on experiments with recycled glass bricks production, and ways to achieve sustainability through this new structural material.
